Color Managment ? 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello there and first my congratulations for this promising piece of software. I just wonder if you plan to implement color management in Scarab Darkroom since this is today an essential feature for getting reliable color reproduction for the output images.

The minimum : use of the system display profile for showing the thumbnails within the software.

Better still : choice of the internal working color space (the larger the better, Pro Photo RGB would be fine). and choice of the output profile (Pro Photo RGB for postproduction, Adobe RGB for ink jet printing and sRGB for Web production and photo printing).

Right now, output images have no profile attached, which is not like it should be.

Note that there are some free color engines around like Little CMS, used by UFRaw, Raw Studio and other "one man" projects

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Yes, color managment is on my to do list.
I once took a brief look at LittleCMS, and it isn't so simple to integrate it with my stuff. And I have already implemented some of the functionality it offers myself. But it's possible that I'll use a few things from it.
Internally Scarab Darkroom stores the image in the linear rgb space it was recorded in - there is absolutely no gamut clamping introduced due to the representation.
The output is sRGB. For others reading: this is usually what's assumed as default by other programs if no color profile is present.
